I pointed this out a long time ago. It takes more energy to bring up the temp from 0degrees F than it does to bring it down from 100. Winters are brutally cold. The temp we function at best is around 70deg. F. Alarmists don't seem to consider this.:
"More energy is needed to heat homes and buildings than is needed to cool them."
